Teachers who are registered with Complete Education are selected with care and maintain a high level of professional expertise. We strive to create a feeling of belonging within our team of teachers, a team spirit. All teachers have been registered after successful completion of the following:
All our interviews are thorough, and conducted by experienced teachers. When registering our teachers we are looking for enthusiastic and imaginative professionals, who are adaptable, caring and have appropriate subject knowledge. The interview also gives the teacher the opportunity to find out more about Complete Education and our relationships with our schools. It is also an opportunity to outline our expectations of supply teachers.
We require candidates to provide two independent references. One of these must be from the teacher's last teaching position, or in the case of newly qualified teachers, their college or university. These references should be able to provide us with an informed and objective opinion as to their professional competence as a teacher.
At Complete Education, we require the teacher to provide original certificates for inspection at interview. A copy is kept on file. In the absence of original certificates, we gain a letter from the DfEE confirming qualifications and DfEE number.
Identities of our teachers are carefully checked against passports, birth certificates and photographic driving licences during interview.
Complete Education is an authorised Registered Body for the Criminal Records Bureau and ensures that all teachers are in possession of a satisfactory current Enhanced CRB Disclosure Certificate before deploying in a school. A record of all disclosure information is kept in a confidential file.
Teachers are required to complete a medical screening form. Our vetting procedures abide by the requirements of the DfEE Circular 7/96 'Guidance on the Use of Supply Teachers'.
